Having never ridden a bike before, I completed both my CBT and DAS with RJH. I really can't recommend them highly... enough! The booking process is super easy and Charlie always managed to fit lessons and tests into my hectic work schedule. The instructors are all knowledgeable, experienced, and really friendly - it's clear they want the best for their students. Passed my A2 test back in December after a few attempts and stupid mistakes made by myself (No fault of RJH), I can't... thank the guys at RJH Manchester enough, Rob and Graham who did a fantastic job of training and Charlie who was brilliant over the phone sorting everything out for me, the whole experience was informative and fun at the same time and thanks to the brilliant crew at RJH I am now riding my beautiful Honda CB650F (Restricted) with a lovely aftermarket exhaust on too, I can't wait till I get the chance to go for my full Licence and without a doubt will be choosing RJH!!read more

I went into my CBT a complete beginner, never even touched a bike before, and a nervous wreck. But I left a confident... rider with my CBT certificate in hand. Cannot recommend this place enough, the instructor is excellent and it's obvious they all love what they do. If you're a complete beginner or coming in for a refresher, there's nowhere better honestly.read more

Did my CBT here, despite it starting to snow, it was a really good experience. Graham did the instruction in the... morning and I was taken out on the road by Rob in the afternoon.They are friendly, professional and calm, just what you need when riding on the road with little to no experience can be daunting. Being vertically challenged at 5 feet 2, I was pleased to see they had a large number of bikes to choose from, (even lowered 'big bikes'). Actually being able to touch the floor for a change took much of the anxiety out for me. I had been to another place in Manchester, put on a bike I didn't feel comfortable on and then not even given the chance to go out on the road. At RJH they don't rush and clearly explain everything, which I hadn't had before. So all in all, I'd say it's the place to go for lessons and training. I will look forward to coming back and passing the full test.read more

Top class riding school, Cracking energy never under any negative pressure to perform and always reassured in what you... was doing. I was nervous on Mod 2 test day and it was like having a 'father' with me in Graham (Sorry you're not that old :D) Once again he reassured me in what I had learnt and also kept on reiterating to me to concentrate on what i should be doing and what i can do as appose to trying to think what i shouldn't. Just completed the Direct Access Course with RJH. Started at the Northwich site with Sylvia who was fantastic and... patient as I’d never been on a motorbike before. Then I completed the rest of the training at the Eccles site with Rob and was Graham. Just finished my taster session with John at RJH. I've never ridden before and this was a fantastic experience. I... didn't need any kit (just a decent set of boots) as they had everything. Decent quality helmet, jacket, gloves and bike. I found John to be an excellent instructor, very patient and really put me at ease. After a quick introduction to the basic controls I was on the bike, feathering the clutch and riding, be it very slowly! I got a good 45 minutes riding and after a bit of a shaky start and with John's excellent tutelage my confidence grew. Before I knew it I was even giving it a bit of throttle. If you have never ridden before I would seriously consider doing the taster session before doing your CBT and RJH have everything you need. I plan to do my CBT & DAS next year and I will definitely be looking to do a couple more taster sessions over the next 6 months to build my confidence even more and RJH will deliver this, no doubts about it.read more

I am Autistic and was nervous about starting my motorcycle training but I spoke with Charlie on the phone who was very... clear and helpful in getting me booked in. On my first day of training my instructor was Graham and he too was very clear and calm in his instructions. Graham has a great eye for little details and gave me great advice to improve my riding skills which gave me confidence. We started promptly on time and no time was wasted through the whole session. The whole day was a really good experience and I can't wait to continue my training. The place itself is easy to find and the area for slow speed training is nice and clear with a good set up.read more

I am a 60-year-old female who was never ridden a motorbike, I’ve always fancied the idea but never had the courage. I... decided to have a taster session, at first when I got on the scooter I didn’t think it was for me, I honestly didn’t think I’d have the confidence to get both of my feet off the ground and ride it. Graham was really patient and encouraged me, he instilled me with the confidence to carry on. After about 20 minutes I was riding round feeling much, much more confident, by the end of the hour I felt 100% different to when I started and much more confident to carry on to the next level. I've been considering getting a bike for a while. After 30 years of driving 4 wheels I've never driven anything with 2... wheels and an engine (well there was that incident with the dodgy wheel nuts, but other than that...). Booked a 1 hour taster session and was able to get a hang of the slow speed handling and control and into moving up the gears before the end thanks to great, patient tuition from Graham. I'd highly recommend doing the taster with RJH for anyone else thinking about having a mid life crisis.read more

I did the beginners course between June and July this year as i hadn't ridden a bike before. From start to finish it... has been a great experience from Lisa sorting out the bookings, to Graham and Ian supporting me through the CBT, Mod1 and Mod2 training. If you have no or little experience of riding and want to pass your full test i would highly recommend the beginners course. It's designed to take you from no experience to passing your test and that is exactly what it did. Graham and Ian were great, supportive, strict when they needed to be, and a good laugh. Everyone else at RJH were really friendly too. Massive thanks for enabling me to pass first time and making it good fun too.read more

Advanced riding day with Ian. After passing my DAS last year i decided to take some advanced training to up my riding... skills to the next level. The day spent with Ian was fantastic and despite the weather forecast looking unfavourable i had one of my best days riding ever. Ian was able to introduce the advanced skills in a way that made it easy to incorporate into my riding and by mid afternoon i felt my riding had greatly improved with increased vision, awareness. Riding the twisty roads over the moors using the new skills allowed for a much smoother and ultimately faster and safer ride. Great day and absolutely worth doing if you want to improve your riding standard.read more

I came to RJH as a complete novice and leave with a full unrestricted license, and bags of confidence on a bike! Graham... and Ian are absolutely top class instructors who helped ease any nerves, highlighting areas for improvement in my riding and offering useful tips throughout my CBT and in the run up to both the Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests. Thanks Graham for your help during my training, firm but fair and it obviously does the trick, two first time test... passes so who could argue with that ? Graham will teach you the correct and safe way to ride a motorcycle and that is exactly what you need !! If you want to learn and can take criticism when it’s needed Graham is the best out there ! This is no run of the mill motor cycle training, this is training given by instructors passionate about what they do... and it shows. I took my training with these guys and always felt in very safe experienced hands. The bikes used are well chosen and looked after, training sites are safe and fully equipped. It’s not long before you feel part of this school and even when you pass your coarse you can go onto achieving more with advance courses. I have been riding nearly every day now for 3 years and enjoy it as much now as when I started. I got back into riding after nearly 40 years await from it at 56 and first thought am I to old for this, no you are not. my advise for any one thinking about it do it and do it with these guys. I chose RJH to do my direct access course after a disappointing and unprofessional CBT at another school (which shall... remain nameless). I could not have made a better decision. I enjoyed every second of my 15+ hours being taught by Graham at RJH Manchester. The bikes are great quality and clearly well looked after. The facilities are good. Graham is professional and thorough, while remaining friendly and relaxed. The other instructors I met had the same qualities. I had complete trust and confidence in their advice throughout. The atmosphere at RJH is fun, friendly, supportive and respectful - everyone is rooting for everyone else to pass. I passed my Mod 2 this morning, and couldn't be more pleased. A mostly positive experience, I took my A2 restricted licence here. Instructor was nice and clear about on road... instructions. I unfortunately failed my first module 2 mostly due to nerves. I passed my second module two test with no faults at all. Sylvia was nice and offered me a drink or snack if we stopped to escape the cold. However due to covid my training was postponed from march onward due to lock down. This is understandable. I was told that I would be contacted when training and tests could resume, ok, no problem. Although after waiting and waiting I wasn't contacted and when I reached out to RJH they completely forgot I was even down for training at their site and treated me like a new customer, this was very frustrating as I feel they wasted a lot of my time and didn't even acknowledge their mistake, just blaming it on lock down and not their disorganization. Although I'm not sure, I feel I missed test slots and took my tests a lot later than necessary due to them forgetting I exist. They also as a whole company, really drill in the fact you have to give them a good review and five stars, multiple times. This comes across as not genuine and slightly aggressive. If you ask a customer once to rate your business, and they had a good experience, they will likely do it. Drilling into them they its very important they have to give you a review the same day just doesn't make me feel comfortable. You shouldn't tell people what to do, only to propose they give an honest review. This is mine.read more

Had a taster session on Saturday at RJH Northwich. Was made to feel very welcome from the start with really friendly... staff. Myself and my wife both passed our CBT test today thanks to the expert tuition of Jon Howells. The man has the... patience of a Saint and the best teaching manner I've seen in a long time. The bikes we used were both well maintained and did the job admirably, the course was in depth and covered all aspects required. Took my CBT with instructor Sylvia. I can honestly say this was a great experience, and was made to feel welcome... throughout the whole day. The training facility was good, and plenty of space to get used to the way the bike felt and behaved. There are plenty of facilities on site, including a cafe, accessories shop and a lovely showroom, which you had to pass through to get to the training area. A clever marketing tactic if ever I saw one, but not that I am complaining, this is a tick in the pro column for me. Thanks to the great mentality and patience of Sylvia and the training that was given, I now feel confident to ride on my own. If I had to critisise anything... Maybe the temperature of the office, at an absolute push, but if you are training to ride a motorcycle, I would put money on people not being too bothered by this. I would recommend training here to anyone, especially as it is a relatively quite spot, with plenty of A and B roads to sink your weight into. Good job guys, keep up the good work. 😃read more

I passed both my Mod1 and Mod2 with Sylvia at RJH Northwich. Sylvia is a brilliant instructor: extremely patient, calm... and very helpful with comments and instructions on how to improve your riding whilst always maintaining never ending positivity which really helped to build confidence and to calm nerves when going to the tests. The bikes at Northwich are also spot on: new, light, easy to manoeuvre and the gear indicator was a god send, not to mention the heated grips. Just completed a ‘Back to Biking’ course with Senior Instructor Sylvia Eager. Could not be more pleased! As a mature... rider looking to get back into motorcycling after a 25 year break, Sylvia Eager’s instruction was ‘first class’. With c.45 minutes of slow speed skills in the car park – enough to restore my confidence and to establish respect for a modern 650cc bike - we were out on the roads. Sylvia’s radio commentary was unbelievably good. From safe positioning, awareness and anticipation, Sylvia constantly fed valuable, helpful and reassuring information. I could not imagine that an advanced riding course would have taught me much more than what Sylvia shared during my course. I would not hesitate to recommend Sylvia as a 'first choice' trainer and instructor for anyone wanting to either learn or go back into biking. My mate Chris and I completed our CBT's with RJH Group and I can honestly say that from the initial call with Lisa to... the course itself with Rob & Graham, they all make you feel like you have known them for years and put you at complete ease. After having a horrific CBT experience back in 2015 it took me 3 years to get back on a bike and lots of people... recommended RJH. After contacting them in December I had my CBT a few days ago. It was BRILLIANT and Rob really put me at ease - I didn't want the day to end. I've booked in for my direct access on the back of it and would wholeheartedly recommend. The motorbikes are new, the equipment is first class and the facilities are great. Honestly, I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.read more

Earlier today I experienced my first real taste of becoming a biker. My cbt was an exciting experience and I'm glad I... had Ian to instruct me. Had been riding for a year on a 125 and was quite apprehensive of moving up to the bigger bikes. Ian really helped... build my confidence very quickly and before I knew it I'd passed my MOD 1 & 2 on first attempts. Am very grateful with how quickly he was able to get me to adapt and I picked up my bike on the same day I passed my MOD 2. Update I passed my my mod 1 and mod2 tests first time thanks to Ian. This just confirms, to me, that his methods... work. He has been very supportive throughout the period of training, no question I had was left unexplained and I am really grateful to Ian for his patience and professionalism. I have achieved a life long dream and am looking forward to picking my new bike up in a few days time. Thanks Ian. I attended today (4.07.19) and completed my CBT. Ian, the instructor, had a nice balance of and professionalism. He immediately put everyone at ease and continued this throughout the day. He had good empathy with both young and old (I'm old) and the day went really quickly. It soon became obvious that he had a wealth of knowledge and he shared the important aspects readily and in a way that made it easy to understand for non bikers like myself. I now feel ready for the next step - lessons - then on to taking my test. Thanks Ian for making the experience memorable and fun.
