The CBT course is a programme of instruction, safe practice and assessment for new riders wanting to ride a scooter or geared motorcycle. It is the first step to two wheels and must, by law, be taken by any new rider before they ride on the road using ‘L’ plates. You have to be at least 16 years old to ride a 49 cc machine and 17 years old to ride a 125 cc scooter/motorcycle. Don’t worry if you have never ridden before the CBT course is aimed at complete novices with no experience at all.
Direct Access (DAS) allows riders aged 24 years old or over to take their test on a large motorcycle, allowing them to ride any bike with no restrictions. You must complete a CBT, a motorcycle theory test and finally take both Module 1 and Module 2 of the practical test on a 595cc motorcycle. At RJH we have 15+ year’s experience and our Direct Access (DAS) course will prepare you to pass the full test and then be able to ride any size motorcycle.
No matter what type of biker you are, or what type of bike you ride, or how long you have been riding for, if you have a passion to be a safer, smoother or more confident rider, then our RJH Advanced Riding Course (ARC) will help you raise your riding to an even higher level. Do you want to corner more smoothly? Overtake more safely? Deal with traffic better? Get more out of your riding? If the answer to any of the above is “Yes”, then the RJH ARC is for you…
