The date was 8th March 2003.
(18 YEARS AGO) HAPPY BIRTHDAY RJH Motorbike Training Ltd.
I was 36 years old and had recently lost both my parents within 2 years of each other.
My personal life was crumbling down around me and I needed to take 6 months out of the workplace to come to terms with this.
I left a successful 21 year career in Retail Management. I was burnt out and a broken man.
These personal events contributed to my refocusing, recharging and trying to have some goals as to where my life was going.
The years between 1999 and 2005 were the darkest years of my life and I wouldn’t want to experience these again.
I was Introduced to motorbikes in 1972 aged 7 so my fantastic idea was about to begin?
I started RJH Motorcycle Training in 2003 with 1 x 50cc, 1 x 125cc, and I did not offer Direct Access.
I worked from home, towing the bikes to Congleton High School at weekends on a trailer.
I had a vision, and that vision was:
"Our Aim is to Introduce you to the exciting world of motorcycling offering the safest standard of training available and always measuring ways in improving on the service we offer
"
Marie Housden and Karen Jones were my very 1st CBT pupils on 8th March 2003, i am still in contact with them now.

A few months later Simon Ellison was my 1st DAS pupil on his SV650 and i remember that 1st ride in Weaverham, Northwich Simon down the twisty’s.
Many HIGHS and LOWS since, and many many sacrifices.
The HIGHS are meeting all kinds of people, seeing their happy faces when they ride for the first time and go on to achieve their goals.
The LOWS are my relationship breaking down in 2004, losing my home, not being able to afford to feed myself and even temping around the quiet days as a dustbin man to earn £5 an hour just to feed myself as I was on my own.
But I kept RJH moving. Quitting was not an option.
Wind forwards to 2021 and thousands and thousands of trainees through the school, some no longer here they are riding the clouds........
I think I have done the best I can for you all, you make me very proud and some fantastic stories to tell.
It's a bit different this year and I welcome you all, to come and celebrate with me 18 years of RJH, on a LIVE YouTube feed on Saturday 13th March at 10am UK time.
Quite an achievement I think, and I am still getting the same satisfaction seeing my pupils pass the TEST.

I have made some great friends through my school, and I feel proud to have contributed to your dreams. I am so proud of you all.
I have made many friends not only in the UK but across Europe and the World.

I thank you all for the last 18 years, I hope I can serve the Industry for the next 18 years too.
It’s so so very important to mention none of this would be possible without the team that keep the school running, Lisa, Charlie, Oliver, Graham, Sylvia, Cameron. Peter, Jon, Ashley and Adrian .

May be an image of 1 person, motorcycle and text that says 'SOR RJH SIACE 2003 HAPPY 18 TH BIRTHDAY'
