On the saddle with Danny

Q) Which site did you train with RJH and how was your experience in terms of facilities and treatment on arrival?

A) I complete my CBT at the old site in Salford under Sylvia and went down to Northwich to complete my full license. Found both sites great, always a friendly welcome and the kettle was always on within a few minutes of arriving. What more can you ask for than that!

Q) We all know as soon as you pass, you’re eager to get on the road! So, since passing your test with RJH, how many miles have you covered?

A) I got my full license about two weeks before the first lockdown came into place, so unfortunately not as many miles as I would have hoped for!

Q) The phrase ‘every day is a school day’ is commonly used – have you learnt and implemented a new technique whilst learning with RJH?

A) The main thing I learnt was trusting the bike going into corners. Initially it was a big shock making the jump from my 125 onto the 650 but with Sylvia’s help, learnt to keep looking in the right place and you’ll be fine.

Q) What’s the furthest distance you’ve travelled on your bike since passing?

A) Furthest distance I’ve travelled was from Bolton down to Northwich to show off my first big bike after passing my test. Certainly a much more enjoyable journey on the bike than in the car!

Q) What’s your favourite motorbike? And/or is there one you have your eyes on?

A) I’m a big fan of the Kawasaki ninjas, so will probably get one in the future once I’ve got a few more years riding experience. More than happy with what I have now, so no other bikes lined up at the moment

Q) Setting goals is important as it gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation – have you set yourself any for the future?

A) Goals I’ve set myself is to get out as much as possible and keep learning how to be a better rider. I think once you get your license, you can still learn so much more and probably never stop learning

Q) And finally, favourite instructor, and why?!

A) Favourite instructor has to be Sylvia. She has the patience of a saint and managed to get me through getting my license when at times I found it really difficult. Makes a good cup of coffee too as an added bonus!
