Q) Which site did you train with RJH and how was your experience in terms of facilities and treatment on arrival?
A) I trained at the old Salford site (visited new site since) Everything 100%. Initial meet and office space were spot on. Training area was fine (it was on a slight hill) which as a beginner I struggled with – I’m blaming the hill anyway!
Q) We all know as soon as you pass, you’re eager to get on the road! So, since passing your test with RJH, how many miles have you covered?
A) Due to having a baby I haven’t covered as many miles as I’d hoped but I’d say around 3,000.
Q) The phrase ‘every day is a school day’ is commonly used – have you learnt and implemented a new technique whilst learning with RJH?
A) I was a new rider so everything is new – but one thing that sticks with me to this day is always look into the corner!
Q) What’s the furthest distance you’ve travelled on your bike since passing?
A) Furthest I have traveled so far is Manchester to Southport. Given the chance I’d like to go further!
Q) Setting goals is important as it gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation – have you set yourself any for the future?
A) I think to just get out on the roads more. Maybe a further advance course to build confidence which will enable me to do this.
Q) And finally, favourite instructor, and why?!
A) Tough call! Straight off I want say Graham but Nick is close! Graham’s was a bit more easy going on me and was like the mother hen but Nick was more straight talking – he pushed me with confidence that enabled me to do it!
