Sylvia Eager - DVSA Instructor & Northwich's Training Centre Manager
My name is Sylvia and I am RJH Northwich’s Training Centre Manager.
I am also a DVSA CBT and DAS Approved Motorcycle Instructor. I have worked for RJH on and off since 2010 when I first enrolled on a RJH 10 day Instructor Training Course.
In addition I am also RJH’s MCIAC Quality Coordinator.
RJH Northwich are a KRTS school which means we teach you on modern well maintained Kawasaki’s.
I love going to work every day and meeting new people and teaching them how to ride a motorbike or scooter.
My love for 2 wheels began when I was 3 years old and I loved my little BMX bike. I pestered my parents for years asking them to buy me a little motorbike and they bought me one, when I was 11yrs old, a little Yamaha TY80cc. It was brilliant and my love for motorbikes grew and grew. I have now been riding for 20 years on the roads.
I am now enjoying making more people safer on the roads and sharing my knowledge and skills of motorcycling.
Graham Cook - DVSA Instructor & Manchester's Training Centre Manager
Hi, I’m Graham and I am Manchester’s Training Centre Manager.
I am a DVSA Motorbike Instructor at RJH Motorbike Training School in Manchester able to teach CBT & Direct Access.
I took motorcycling up seriously some 10 years ago although I have been riding scooters and motorbikes since at the age of 17.
I have ridden a variety of Japanese motorbikes including Kawasaki, Yamaha and Honda.
My favourite is the one I ride now which is a Honda.
I ride bikes in all weather conditions, road types and traffic conditions.
I trained at RJH Motorbike Training in Manchester on one of their Motorbike Instructors courses with the Master himself Rob Howitt.
I undertook and successfully completed a 2 day assessment at the DVSA in Cardington and gained my CBT Instructors badge.
I continued to develop my Instructors qualifications and am approved to teach Direct Access too.
I also gained my Gold award in Advanced Riding and went on to become an Advance Riding Tutor.
I am now enjoying making more people safer on the roads and sharing my knowledge and skills of motorcycling.
We are getting fantastic reviews on our website with trainees that have enjoyed their time with us on their CBT & DAS courses.
I look forward to meeting you all soon for your CBT & DAS Training.
Ashley Duncan - DVSA Approved CBT Motorbike Instructor
Hi I’m Ashley
Biking is a huge part of my life, I enjoy big adventures on big bikes and have ridden long overland cross country trips 2 up!
Whether on or off roading, I love being on two wheels and how good it makes us feel.
I’m an advocate for Advanced rider training and have taken part in the Bike Safe & IAM schemes and I am currently a Cardington Qualified CBT Instructor for RJH at Northwich.
My next goal is to become Direct Access Qualified.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
Pete Ramsay – DVSA CBT Motorbike Instructor
I’m Pete and completed my 10 day instructor training course at RJH in December 2019. I have previously worked in Education for over 25 years as a secondary school teacher, senior leader and headteacher. I now aim to channel my years of teaching experience into training safe and competent bikers.
I first started riding on my sixteenth birthday and travelled all over the north-west on a 50cc moped until passing my driving test a couple of years later. That was the end of my riding career until 2005, when my longing for another bike got too much and I bought a 125 which I kept for several years. In 2012 I then took the plunge and booked a DAS package with RJH in Manchester, never thinking for a moment that I’d one day be back wearing an instructor’s vest.
I love to travel on my bike and take regular trips to the Lakes or Wales, and I’ve twice ridden through France and around Spain to the Costa Del Sol and my spiritual home of Gibraltar.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and learning of your own reasons for joining the biking community.
Jon Howells – DVSA CBT Motorbike Instructor
Hi, I’m Jon I have started delivering CBT’s at RJH Eccles after spending 2 years at another Training School.
I have a Full-Time job as a Secondary School Teacher and have been at the same school for the past 15 years.
I love teaching, I love bikes, becoming a Motorbike instructor seemed like a good idea.
I plan to build my Instructing skills and qualifications at weekends and during school holidays.
I first started riding when I completed my DAS in 2008.
I got a 2014 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer and my mate immediately took me on one of my first trips up a set of hairpins to see if I would fall off!
I now ride a 2009 Suzuki V Strom 650 which I have had since new.
This bike has taken me everywhere without a single issue and although it is getting on now, I can’t bring myself to part with it.
The best thing about motorcycling for me is touring. As well as multiple trips to Scotland, Wales, Lakes etc I have been to Gibraltar twice with Pete, another RJH Instructor, and last year I went to the Alps with another mate. The Alps were incredible and I plan on returning as soon as possible. I also did a lap of the Nurburgring on the same trip. I also enjoy filming my trips, editing them and uploading them to YouTube.
Hopefully see you soon and getting you started on your first motorcycle adventure.
